Osteoporosis is a bone disease that occurs when the body loses too much bone, makes too little bone, or both that makes the bone more likely to break. It is often called “silent disease” because bone loss can’t be seen or felt. As a result, many people don’t know they have it until they break a bone.
According to research results, 3 from every 10 women over the age of 50 will break a bone due to osteoporosis in her lifetime. So, Amgen set many awareness campaigns to increase awareness of this disease and encourage people to understand the risk of having osteoporosis.
